Great Yarmouth's Damien Nicoll was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emilio Posada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 12th minute Ernest Wilimowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Wilimowski came free, but Gwyn Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamal Morris kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to DS Milan getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lance Ring hit a great ball. Emilio Posada made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Freddy Vine sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute of the match DS Milan got a corner. Great Yarmouth's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barney Widdrington ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, 彭翔德 managed to get in a good position for a shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by 彭翔德 in the 54th minute of play forced Great Yarmouth's goalkeeper Gwyn Boyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Freddy Vine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Posada was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Great Yarmouth's Gwyn Boyes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Great Yarmouth from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Great Yarmouth's Damien Nicoll got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Juliusz Borucki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Keane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Emilio Posada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Ernest Wilimowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gwyn Boyes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Brian Keane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Posada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
