Spectators: 8586 (Terracing: 6440, Seating: 1975, VIP seats: 171) Rory Downham made the kick off and thus started the match. Rickmansworth's Barry Foreman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Downham in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Rickmansworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donny Homes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rickmansworth's Carlos Augusto Messias got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hilsea's goalkeeper John England, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seth Sharples kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Vince Digby fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of John England, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Christopher Gray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hilsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Gray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barry Foreman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 24 minutes, Vince Digby made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hilsea's John England tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Codrin Şelaru made a precise shot to the right of John England. Hilsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codrin Şelaru in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John England prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barry Foreman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Downham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hilsea's goalkeeper John England, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 minutes, Christopher Gray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hilsea and the Rickmansworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rickmansworth booed when Hilsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Gray didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Digby in the 41st minute of play forced Hilsea's goalkeeper John England to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vince Digby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Codrin Şelaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rickmansworth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Codrin Şelaru was the one to do the kick off. When Rickmansworth's Vince Digby in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hilsea's goalie prevented a goal. Rory Downham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Şelaru in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John England saved Hilsea from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Rickmansworth's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Downham came free, but Barry Foreman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christopher Gray hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. John England made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Şelaru in the 71st minute of play. In the 71st minute, Codrin Şelaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rickmansworth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 76th minute Codrin Şelaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John England saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rickmansworth fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Rickmansworth's Vince Digby looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vince Digby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John England read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. John England took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Maura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rickmansworth's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Maura in the 85th minute. The corner ended in Felipe Maura almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hilsea's John England did a great save. Christopher Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Foreman having to interfere. Vince Digby kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Rickmansworth's Barry Foreman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Rickmansworth from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute Rory Downham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Foreman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickmansworth's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
