Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lance Robertson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sidney Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Champion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ashley Driver went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Andre Champion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Dobson in the 8th minute of the match. Andre Champion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Wadebridge got a freekick which was hit by Alfie Plummer. Kenny Dobson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andre Champion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Andre Champion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Driver in the 16th minute of the match. Andre Champion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Doyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christopher Gray struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Andre Champion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hilsea. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Perry Rayner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wadebridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Perry Rayner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John England breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andre Champion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Doyle went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After having played for 32 minutes, Ashley Driver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hilsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashley Driver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christopher Gray kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Sidney Doyle scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andre Champion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andre Champion came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hilsea's Sidney Doyle. But to his dismay, Sidney Doyle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After 48 played minutes Hilsea got a freekick which was hit by Ashley Driver. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Doyle to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Perry Rayner made a precise shot to the right of John England. Hilsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orson Gamble got free with Andre Champion in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the game, Perry Rayner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wadebridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hilsea the free kick. Sidney Doyle succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-7. In the 72nd match minute, Hilsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Nelthorpe to maneuver through the defense. Ashley Driver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wadebridge's Andre Champion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Doyle in the 85th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ashley Driver got free with Andre Champion in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Hilsea booed when Wadebridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Rayner didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Ashley Driver got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andre Champion was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Seth Sharples had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Christopher Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute of the match Verne Lemerond shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andre Champion showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Wadebridge fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hilsea were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
