Augustin Søvang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Augustin Søvang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Marler in the 9th minute of the match. Marble Hill Crows's Augustin Søvang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tosh Goodwin in the 11th minute of play. Mark Morning scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Blakeley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Augustin Søvang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Marler, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Grzegorz Patora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marble Hill Crows's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Egg Chasers FC the free kick. The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when Marble Hill Crows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grzegorz Patora didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Egg Chasers FC were awarded a corner. Johnathan Jobson went to the cornerflag to take it. Tosh Goodwin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 33rd minute Robbie Fowler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Søvang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tosh Goodwin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augustin Søvang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Marble Hill Crows got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Boberg. When Bruce Marler came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Egg Chasers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Marler couldn't finish the play. Bruce Marler took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augustin Søvang. Augustin Søvang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 47th minute of the match, Grzegorz Patora got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vincent Blakeley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Marble Hill Crows players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Egg Chasers FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tosh Goodwin to strike the kick off in the second half. Augustin Søvang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tosh Goodwin in the 52nd minute. Marble Hill Crows's Augustin Søvang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tosh Goodwin in the 55th minute of play.
