Dean Simms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dušan Tadić in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Broken bottles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Don Longden came free, but Dean Simms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sun Chuan Wen in the 7th minute of play forced Osfinch FC's goalkeeper Stefan Cullen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Don Longden scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dean Simms, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dean Simms came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Osfinch FC's Don Longden. But to his dismay, Don Longden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dean Simms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Longden, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dean Simms didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dušan Tadić went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Johannes Wennerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dean Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Broken bottles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Don Longden came free, but Dean Simms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel De Fremeaux took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dean Simms. Dean Simms dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 24 minutes into the match, Don Longden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dean Simms. Broken bottles FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Don Longden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Osfinch FC's Dušan Tadić got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Archie Sansom had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Ernani Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernani Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Broken bottles FC made a substitution. Eddy Moody replaced Archie Sansom. When Ivan Washington came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Broken bottles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Washington couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the game, Dušan Tadić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Dean Simms was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute, Dušan Tadić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dean Simms was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Johannes Wennerström struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Dean Simms didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osfinch FC.
