The audience thought a goal was coming when Donald Hazell got free with Philip Floyd in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Friggle FC booed when Kauto Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Whitford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthijs Waidijk in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Floyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 minutes, Jamie Whitford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kauto Stars and the Friggle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Jamie Whitford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Paul Hoult in the 30th minute of play. Carl Speed took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arturo Boruc. Arturo Boruc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A hard shot 34 in the game by Dale Cummings from a close distance when the talented Philip Floyd managed to make a qualified save. Kauto Stars's players were relieved. Arturo Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Speed in the 36th minute of the match. Philip Floyd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dale Cummings went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Friggle FC's Dragoş Vlaicu got a free kick in the 40th minute. John-Paul Hoult took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arturo Boruc. Friggle FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Friggle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Speed came free, but Arturo Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philip Floyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Hazell, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Kauto Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Cummings came free, but Philip Floyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Speed hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Speed made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Donald Hazell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Friggle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The supporters of Friggle FC booed when Kauto Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Bibby didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes of play, Friggle FC's Dale Cummings made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Floyd was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute Carl Speed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Speed in the 63rd minute of play forced Friggle FC's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dale Cummings's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Floyd was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Kauto Stars defense, German Nieto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Floyd. The Kauto Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Floyd should have stopped the shot. German Nieto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Philip Floyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, John-Paul Hoult managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kauto Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but John-Paul Hoult was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dragoş Vlaicu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Arturo Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Speed, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 90th minute, Donald Hazell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John-Paul Hoult took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arturo Boruc. Friggle FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Friggle FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Kauto Stars for much of the match.
