The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, one of Elizabeth Three Lions FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Arne Söderberg, was totally fooled by Gloucester City AFC's Jarred Castaneda, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kristopher Le Saux's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Arne Söderberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Wes Carragher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gloucester City AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wes Carragher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Söderberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Gloucester City AFC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Gloucester City AFC's Kristopher Le Saux looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arne Söderberg came out of the goal and Kristopher Le Saux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Puja came free, but Arne Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gloucester City AFC's Danny Jumel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cvetin Luković in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kristopher Le Saux fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kristopher Le Saux in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arne Söderberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 41st minute, Kristopher Le Saux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Richard Scholten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gloucester City AFC's Danny Jumel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elizabeth Three Lions FC made a substitution. Danny Ings replaced Michail Antonio.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Scholten made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennie Sutherland in the 55th minute of play forced Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Arne Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Kristopher Le Saux cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Arne Söderberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, Gloucester City AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Scholten came free, but Danny Jumel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, Gloucester City AFC's Kristopher Le Saux made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arne Söderberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jarred Castaneda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Söderberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Le Saux in the 74th minute of play forced Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Arne Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Andrew Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Kristopher Le Saux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Kristopher Le Saux ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arne Söderberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Elizabeth Three Lions FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gloucester City AFC.
