Roger Cornish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Friggle FC's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keanu Tate. Arturo Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Speed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Délio Kartal fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Friggle FC's protests and gave Délio Kartal a yellow card for diving instead. Carl Speed took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arturo Boruc. Arturo Boruc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Stuart Heywood kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Kauto Stars booed when Friggle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Kartal didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Cornish in the 36th minute of play forced Friggle FC's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Cummings in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Floyd saved Kauto Stars from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Cummings in the 49th minute of play forced Kauto Stars's goalkeeper Philip Floyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Speed to strike the kick off in the second half. Arturo Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Speed in the 69th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Carl Speed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Kauto Stars's Frank Deacon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arturo Boruc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 81st match minute, Friggle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Kartal to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Roger Cornish managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kauto Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Cornish was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Boruc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kauto Stars's Philip Floyd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Kauto Stars from getting a goal against them. Dale Cummings who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Philip Floyd when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Kauto Stars getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Roger Cornish hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dale Cummings got free with Philip Floyd in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kauto Stars were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Friggle FC for a fine match.
