In the 3rd minute Sammy Corcoran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Lang came free, but Arne Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Qian Shu Chong kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Sammy Corcoran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Arne Söderberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Sammy Corcoran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ARK CS and the Elizabeth Three Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC ARK CS's Sammy Corcoran got a free kick in the 18th minute. Nicolas Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Ings in the 20th minute of play. Sammy Corcoran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Arne Söderberg made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Edgar Lang managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ARK CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Lang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Söderberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Júlio Severo could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Arne Söderberg however easily saved by the left post. In the 27th minute of the match FC ARK CS got a corner. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olly Paley ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Vinnie Griggs drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper. Danny Ings might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Joey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danny Ings ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ed Moore in the 33rd minute of play forced FC ARK CS's goalkeeper Nicolas Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ed Moore in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute Michail Antonio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Michail Antonio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas Joey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Michail Antonio struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Nicolas Joey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elizabeth Three Lions FC. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
