Evelio Goren made a great header on Mayo's corner, it was just that Hunting High & Low..'s Archie Rowell managed to reach the ball for a save. Alfredo Miliano kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Alain Rosenberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Bird showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alexander Bird made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Oldham in the 21st minute of play. Alexander Bird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Oldham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Alain Rosenberg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mayo's Alexander Bird. Alexander Bird was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pierce Wrigley scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexander Bird, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 played minutes Hunting High & Low.. got a freekick which was hit by Lance Gilchrist. Des Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Rowell having to interfere. The supporters of Mayo booed when Hunting High & Low.. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierce Wrigley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Des Gill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Archie Rowell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Clapham in the 41st minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Alexander Bird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Pierce Wrigley came free, but Alexander Bird reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Hunting High & Low..'s Nick Oldham made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Bird was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Mayo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hunting High & Low.. were winning 1-3.

Alexander Bird made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Roger Clapham sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Des Gill in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Archie Rowell saved Hunting High & Low.. from getting behind. Joe Kendall kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Mayo's Samuel Farmer was substituted for Evelio Goren. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hunting High & Low.. booed when Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mayo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Alexander Bird managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Hunting High & Low..'s Roger Clapham fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th minute Nick Oldham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierce Wrigley's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexander Bird firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alexander Bird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Oldham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nick Oldham was slow to take the kick. During this time Hunting High & Low..'s players had a chance to rest. Archie Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Farmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Hunting High & Low..'s Archie Rowell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Pagomari in the 95th minute of play. The Mayo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hunting High & Low..'s performance. The match ended with a win for Hunting High & Low...
