Mayo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Farmer in the 12th minute. A nice corner shot did that Samuel Farmer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jon Connell quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 14th minute Samuel Farmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Oliver got free with Jon Connell in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute Stanyo Kobakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes Mayo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gonzalo Astrada who took care of the corner kick. Charlie Chamberlain thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Alexander Bird, a very annoying self made goal in the 45th minute which led to 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Valiant F.C's Stanyo Kobakov got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stanyo Kobakov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Bird read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Alexander Bird made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanyo Kobakov in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Samuel Farmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jon Connell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mayo made a substitution. Arlindo Trevisan replaced Patrick Robins. Mayo made a substitution. After 82 played minutes Stanyo Kobakov rounded Mayo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-3. In the 85th minute of the game Ferruccio Chelodi made a throw-in which Stanyo Kobakov played forward. 89 minutes into the match, Stanyo Kobakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Bird. Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanyo Kobakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Stanyo Kobakov kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Valiant F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
