Alfonso Valente started the match with the kick off. Nickolaj Nickerson might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harvey Davies. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nickolaj Nickerson ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 8 minutes, Nickolaj Nickerson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harlow AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nickolaj Nickerson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Harlow AFC's Vince Carter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vince Carter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Harlow AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vince Carter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Vince Carter kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Quentin Cobb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawel Golanski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommy Bedford during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 20 minutes into the match, Harlow AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Valente came free, but Quentin Cobb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Efren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Quentin Cobb made a huge save. In the 30th minute Nickolaj Nickerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harlow AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jay Marriot in the 31st minute. After taking down the ball on Harlow AFC's corner Jay Marriot fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harvey Davies quite easily take care of the ball. Jay Marriot succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to get real power on a long shot . Greenbay's Harvey Davies hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-1! In the 35th minute Roberto Firmino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Cobb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Zappacosta in the 41st minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Harvey Davies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Greenbay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Firmino to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The Harlow AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
