Spectators: 9284 (Terracing: 6965, Seating: 2135, VIP seats: 184) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roger Clapham took the kick off in the first half of the match. Roger Clapham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaur Kapten having to make a save. Roger Clapham took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kaur Kapten. Kaur Kapten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match, Sam Lunt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Archie Rowell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 16 minutes into the game, Hunting High & Low..'s Roger Clapham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaur Kapten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Txema Cerbera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Archie Rowell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Archie Rowell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Clapham in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaur Kapten saved Modernians from getting behind. After 32 played minutes Modernians got a freekick which was hit by Finn Maskell. 33 minutes into the match, Modernians's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Hird came free, but Kaur Kapten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaur Kapten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Clapham in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Hunting High & Low..'s goalkeeper Archie Rowell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Txema Cerbera. In the 44th minute Thomas Stenger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie Rowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sam Lunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Archie Rowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Modernians players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hunting High & Low.. were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Txema Cerbera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Archie Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Txema Cerbera, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A collision led to Modernians getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Shi Hong Xiao hit a great ball. Roger Clapham might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaur Kapten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Clapham ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the game, Modernians's Txema Cerbera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Archie Rowell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 74thth minute of the game Txema Cerbera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hunting High & Low..'s Archie Rowell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Archie Rowell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Txema Cerbera's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Hunting High & Low..'s goal looked a bit too open when Sam Lunt came free, but Archie Rowell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Thomas Stenger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Modernians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Stenger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Sam Lunt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Modernians's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Lunt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Archie Rowell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kaur Kapten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Clapham, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Archie Rowell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Lunt in the 94th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hunting High & Low.. defense, Sam Lunt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Archie Rowell. The Hunting High & Low.. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Archie Rowell should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Modernians players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
