The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Young made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Pope in the 3rd minute of play. Leonardo Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Harry Colman sent off a good shot on target. In the 6thth minute of the game Quentin Pope who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Youth Project's Lucas Young was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Quentin Pope's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Young was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Leonardo Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfie Chivers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Bezerra was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Martyn Featherstone capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martyn Featherstone really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Bohemians Praa's goalkeeper Leonardo Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martyn Featherstone. Martyn Featherstone received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonardo Bezerra came out and tried to block the shot, but Martyn Featherstone slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quentin Pope in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Young saved The Youth Project from getting behind. Martyn Featherstone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Leonardo Bezerra made a huge save. The Youth Project's Lucas Young played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Pope in the 28th minute of play. Leonardo Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfie Chivers in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Harper in the 32nd minute of play forced The Youth Project's goalkeeper Lucas Young to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Bohemians Praa were awarded a corner. Carlos Ramalho went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Ramalho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lucas Young quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 35 minutes into the match, Bohemians Praa's goalkeeper Leonardo Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harry Colman. In the 36th minute, Alfie Chivers made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Bezerra. Bohemians Praa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Bohemians Praa's Quentin Pope got a free kick in the 38th minute. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quentin Pope to strike the kick off in the second half. Bohemians Praa's Leonardo Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyn Featherstone in the 63rd minute of play. In the 80th minute Jimmy Bartrup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bohemians Praa's Quentin Pope, in the 84th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bohemians Praa. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Youth Project's goalkeeper Lucas Young, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bohemians Praa were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after The Youth Project's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Ramalho took the corner. With an all-out effort, Bohemians Praa's Lucas Young threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Quentin Pope, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leonardo Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paddy Ackland, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Youth Project had won after a very even match.
