Harvey Davies took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Farmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Farmer in the 8th minute of play. Harvey Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Des Gill in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Mayo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Charlie Chamberlain hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Orlando Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greenbay's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Efren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Bird breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Efren got free with Alexander Bird in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mayo booed when Greenbay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harvey Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Des Gill, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Wally Casey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harvey Davies read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Des Gill made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Greenbay's Harvey Davies tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexander Bird showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Valente in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mayo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pawel Golanski was slow to take the kick. During this time Greenbay's players had a chance to rest. Wally Casey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Harvey Davies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harvey Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wally Casey, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Samuel Farmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wally Casey in the 38th minute of play. Alexander Bird made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Valente in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Orlando Efren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Des Gill put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Harvey Davies. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Valente made a kick off. Severiano Jeraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Orlando Efren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goal looked a bit too open when Des Gill came free, but Harvey Davies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Harvey Davies successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Greenbay getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Roberto Firmino hit a great ball. Mayo made a substitution. Arlindo Trevisan replaced Glyn Smith. Mayo's Evelio Goren was substituted for Samuel Farmer. Alexander Bird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Efren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Orlando Efren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alexander Bird was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Greenbay's Mesut Özil was substituted for Severiano Jeraldo. Alfonso Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Bird having to interfere. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Pagomari in the 87th minute of play. Mayo's Alexander Bird played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Efren in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mayo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pawel Golanski was slow to take the kick. During this time Greenbay's players had a chance to rest. Ben Gurney thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Alexander Bird, a very annoying self made goal in the 91st minute which led to 2-2. In the 95th minute, Luka Weber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Greenbay were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
