Denis Walmsley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stickleback Utd Xl's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yan Fernandes was slow to take the kick. During this time Shadwell Town FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Shadwell Town FC's Gabriel de Castro to fire away a dangerous shot which Denis Walmsley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stickleback Utd Xl's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yan Fernandes was slow to take the kick. During this time Shadwell Town FC's players had a chance to rest. Shadwell Town FC's Ştefan Trifu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Denis Walmsley in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 15 played minutes Shadwell Town FC got a freekick which was hit by Yan Fernandes. Francis Curtis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Kimetz Pejuan made a huge save. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shadwell Town FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tod McCartney was slow to take the kick. During this time Stickleback Utd Xl's players had a chance to rest. Kasey Bond was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 22 minutes into the game, Stickleback Utd Xl's Francis Curtis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kimetz Pejuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 27th match minute, Shadwell Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Parks to maneuver through the defense. Kasey Bond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Walmsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Parks in the 29th minute of the match. Mark Rowell kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Stickleback Utd Xl's Denis Walmsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Beaumont in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mark Rowell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kimetz Pejuan was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 38th minute Stickleback Utd Xl were awarded a corner. Tod McCartney went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Stickleback Utd Xl's Rupert Longden to fire away a dangerous shot which Kimetz Pejuan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yan Fernandes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Shadwell Town FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stickleback Utd Xl:s goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tod McCartney was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Stickleback Utd Xl's goalkeeper Denis Walmsley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel de Castro. Tony Featherstone's late challenge caught a Shadwell Town FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Featherstone helped the player get up and apologised. Tony Featherstone kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The Shadwell Town FC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Shadwell Town FC's Gabriel de Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th minute, Nicholas Poole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Beaumont scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Walmsley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
