Ernest Lučan kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Ernest Lučan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Marek Imrek got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Róbert Kohút in the 14th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Tibor Salaj kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 18th minute Ivan Sokol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Strobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
