When Richard Mikla came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the TATRAN FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Mikla couldn't finish the play. Stanislav Gajdoš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of TATRAN FC booed when Tatran HLOHOVEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miloslav Honzík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tatran HLOHOVEC's Rudolf Podracký played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislav Gajdoš in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Tatran HLOHOVEC's Miloslav Honzík sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Lada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matej Hurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Matej Hurt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tatran HLOHOVEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matej Hurt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Mikla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudolf Podracký read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Róbert Sivčo made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tatran HLOHOVEC's Daniel Hvorecký. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Hvorecký got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, TATRAN FC's Ján Piroško got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Daniel Hvorecký had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matej Hurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in TATRAN FC's zone, Stano Kliment stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Lada came out of the goal and Stano Kliment tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stano Lednický recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Daniel Hvorecký hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tatran HLOHOVEC's zone, Richard Mikla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Podracký came out of the goal and Richard Mikla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Stanislav Gajdoš reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rudolf Podracký. The goal made the score 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Richard Mikla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 76th minute, Miloslav Honzík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolf Podracký was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Stanislav Gajdoš capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stanislav Gajdoš really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Mikla got free with Rudolf Podracký in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Hvorecký didn't quite understand what happened when in the 83 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Miloslav Honzík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gabriel Lada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Stanislav Gajdoš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Podracký saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stano Kliment received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gabriel Lada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matej Hurt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Lada having to interfere. Although Tatran HLOHOVEC had been in control for most of the match, TATRAN FC still came away with the win.
