Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pavol Karafiát started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes of play, Piešťany's Viktor Vengloš made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maroš Babčan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maroš Babčan made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Viktor Vengloš sent off a good shot on target. Lukáš Kliment fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maroš Babčan having to interfere. Rastislav Vinarčík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Báďonský in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Báďonský in the 15th minute of play forced Piešťany's goalkeeper Rastislav Vinarčík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bajany fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Piešťany's Viktor Vengloš got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Maroš Babčan. In the 24th play minute Viktor Vengloš came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maroš Babčan. 3-1. A collision led to Piešťany getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ferdinand Tribula hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michal Piroško during the 31st minute. Bajany's Maroš Babčan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukáš Kliment in the 36th minute of play. Pavol Karafiát kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Piešťany's Lukáš Kliment sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maroš Babčan narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukáš Kliment made a kick off. Ladislav Ihnačák charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladislav Ihnačák the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Piešťany's Ladislav Ihnačák got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Lukáš Kliment had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lukáš Kliment received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Maroš Babčan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lukáš Kliment fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maroš Babčan having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Piešťany's goalkeeper Rastislav Vinarčík had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Báďonský. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Viktor Vengloš managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piešťany's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Vengloš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maroš Babčan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Bajany's zone, Lukáš Kliment stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maroš Babčan came out of the goal and Lukáš Kliment tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Viktor Vengloš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukáš Kliment sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute Viktor Vengloš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maroš Babčan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piešťany walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
