Spectators: 7985 (Terracing: 5990, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dezider Kazík started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Matúš Lamoš, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manchester United's Matúš Lamoš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rastislav Jarošík in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dezider Kazík in the 17th minute of play forced JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goalkeeper Samo Kaňuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Višňa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samo Kaňuk having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dezider Kazík in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samo Kaňuk saved JUNIORKA SLOVANA from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, JUNIORKA SLOVANA's Rudolf Thomka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matúš Lamoš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35 played minutes JUNIORKA SLOVANA got a freekick which was hit by Ondrej Dvorčák. It was beautiful to see Manchester United's Marián Košť in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Matúš Lamoš made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Thomka in the 41st minute. Rastislav Jarošík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Matúš Lamoš tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Matúš Lamoš came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by JUNIORKA SLOVANA's Rastislav Jarošík. But to his dismay, Rastislav Jarošík quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Marián Rendľa's late challenge caught a JUNIORKA SLOVANA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marián Rendľa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Marián Rendľa hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, JUNIORKA SLOVANA's Ondrej Dvorčák tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rastislav Jarošík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matúš Lamoš having to interfere. Rudolf Thomka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Rastislav Jarošík came free, but Matúš Lamoš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Dezider Kazík got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Ivan Višňa kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Samo Kaňuk never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Manchester United's Dezider Kazík sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samo Kaňuk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goalkeeper Samo Kaňuk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Višňa. When Manchester United's Dezider Kazík in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ivan Višňa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Višňa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samo Kaňuk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dezider Kazík 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Manchester United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
