After some careless play in the Honce defense, Maroš Poláček kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ľubomír Gabrieň. The Honce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ľubomír Gabrieň should have stopped the shot. Ľubomír Gabrieň took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dušan Lopata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maroš Poláčeks short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Ľubomír Gabrieň to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MŠK Žilina had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
