Spectators: 8436 (Terracing: 6328, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Pikachu FK's Róbert Gál started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Pikachu FK's zone, Richard Čermeľ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Žák came out of the goal and Richard Čermeľ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ľubomír Košina fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pikachu FK's protests and gave Ľubomír Košina a yellow card for diving instead. Ľubomír Košina hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Ľubomír Košina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th match minute, FK Púchov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Čermeľ to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Čermeľ in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Žák prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 67 played minutes Pikachu FK got a freekick which was hit by Ľubomír Košina. With his leg Peter Žák managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when FK Púchov's Marián Kundráčik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the game, Gabriel Špaček recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Žák. Gabriel Špaček showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Pikachu FK's Mojmír Kozár got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbert Gál sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Róbert Gál received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vladimír Šesták tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marián Kundráčik managed to, on his own, get straight through Pikachu FK's defense and in the 87th minute placed the ball to the left of Peter Žák. 0-2.
