In the 16th minute Ján Krempašský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Lomnický saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Tomáš Mišík in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC XY's Antón Macejko. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Pivnica's zone, Orhan Veli Mirac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislav Lomnický came out of the goal and Orhan Veli Mirac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ľubomír Smatana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Miroslav Motuz made a huge save. UFC Pivnica's Ladislav Lomnický played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orhan Veli Mirac in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Orhan Veli Mirac made a precise shot to the right of Ladislav Lomnický. UFC Pivnica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, UFC Pivnica's Daniel Vičan got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 39th minute Ján Krempašský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Lomnický saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Ján Krempašský had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ladislav Lomnický. UFC Pivnica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ján Krempašský was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. FC XY's Daniel Pavlovič was substituted for Ján Krempašský. After the first half FC XY were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Viktor Kasarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Orhan Veli Mirac managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC XY's supporters rose to their feet, but Orhan Veli Mirac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislav Lomnický breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miroslav Motuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavol Rybnický in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Orhan Veli Mirac cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. In the 93rd minute of the match, Orhan Veli Mirac tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ladislav Lomnický saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for UFC Pivnica! Orhan Veli Mirac shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When FC XY's Orhan Veli Mirac in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Antón Macejko was extremely unlucky when he, in the 100th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC XY had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
