Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Claudio Kisilak took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Slovenska Bistrica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lučano Gregorin came free, but Tibor Iglič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomi Krebelj took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radislav Marn. Radislav Marn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Velenje ND's Lučano Gregorin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tibor Iglič made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tibor Iglič didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Brvar went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Tibor Iglič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lučano Gregorin in the 27th minute of play. Slovenska Bistrica FC's Tibor Iglič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Brvar in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Brvar in the 37th minute of play forced Slovenska Bistrica FC's goalkeeper Tibor Iglič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibor Iglič showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Draksler in the 37th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Claudio Brvar notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Slovenska Bistrica FC's Tibor Iglič. Tibor Iglič was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Claudio Kisilak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radislav Marn having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lučano Gregorin in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tibor Iglič prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Tomi Krebelj notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Velenje ND's Radislav Marn. Radislav Marn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomi Krebelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Slovenska Bistrica FC's Arnaldo Ježek got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lučano Gregorin in the 70th minute of play forced Slovenska Bistrica FC's goalkeeper Tibor Iglič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Slovenska Bistrica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adem Pere to maneuver through the defense. If Claudio Brvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Brvar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Lučano Gregorin put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Tibor Iglič. After 91 minutes of play Velenje ND's Remo Draksler was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Velenje ND getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Remo Draksler hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Arnaldo Ježek sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Velenje ND's Radislav Marn didn't even have to move. The Velenje ND supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Velenje ND would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
