Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lučano Gregorin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Claudio Brvar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alojz Golob having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeid Lavrič during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Godovič MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeid Lavrič to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Vasilij Verovšek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alojz Golob skillfully saved the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Godovič MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Brvar came free, but Alojz Golob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Godovič MNK defense, Claudio Brvar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alojz Golob. The Godovič MNK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alojz Golob should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Claudio Brvar notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Godovič MNK's Alojz Golob. Alojz Golob was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Migel Šmit kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Radislav Marn was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sefedin Kramžar. Claudio Brvar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alojz Golob having to interfere. Velenje ND's Radislav Marn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Velenje ND from getting a goal against them. If Claudio Brvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, Velenje ND's Lučano Gregorin made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alojz Golob was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Dražan Banović made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Claudio Brvar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velenje ND's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Brvar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alojz Golob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Lučano Gregorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alojz Golob was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. When Rian Grimšič fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godovič MNK's protests and gave Rian Grimšič a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Godovič MNK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Velenje ND:s goal. Claudio Brvar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alojz Golob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remo Draksler during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Velenje ND getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Remo Draksler hit a great ball. Dražan Banović struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Radislav Marn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godovič MNK. In the 71st minute, Lučano Gregorin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Remo Draksler was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alojz Golob came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Velenje ND's Claudio Brvar. But to his dismay, Claudio Brvar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. When Claudio Brvar came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Velenje ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Brvar couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Velenje ND's Lučano Gregorin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6.
