Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Anto Verovšek made the kick off and thus started the match. Ožbe Kikelj hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Velenje ND's Claudio Brvar got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radislav Marn came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Šalovci's Ožbe Kikelj. But to his dismay, Ožbe Kikelj quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Anto Verovšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-0 became the score in the 17th minute when Ožbe Kikelj elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Šalovci's goalkeeper Vasjo Šarić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vasjo Šarić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lučano Gregorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Anto Verovšek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anto Verovšek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Radislav Marn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ožbe Kikelj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Šalovci's Anto Verovšek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radislav Marn. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Anto Verovšek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radislav Marn was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Šalovci's Milivoj Volk got a free kick in the 37th minute. Šalovci's Vasjo Šarić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Brvar in the 40th minute of play. Ožbe Kikelj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radislav Marn having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lučano Gregorin to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Lučano Gregorin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vasjo Šarić. That made the score 3-2 in the 53 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Velenje ND's Remo Draksler got a free kick in the 55th minute. Radislav Marn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anto Verovšek in the 58th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Ožbe Kikelj had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radislav Marn. Velenje ND's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ožbe Kikelj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Lučano Gregorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Šalovci's goalkeeper Vasjo Šarić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Brvar. Radislav Marn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofil Krivokapič in the 80th minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Šalovci! Zija Zrnić took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vasjo Šarić. Šalovci's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ožbe Kikelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Brvar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasjo Šarić having to interfere. Radislav Marn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldian Šumljak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Šalovci players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
