The supporters of Celje booed when Nazarje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Srčan Mirtič didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Enes Padovnik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ugo Krejči showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Nazarje getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Srčan Mirtič hit a great ball. Esad Mrvar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Ugo Krejči throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tian Antonijević in the 10thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Esad Mrvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, Nazarje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Srčan Mirtič to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nazarje booed when Celje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tian Antonijević didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nikolaj Kekez came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Nazarje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolaj Kekez couldn't finish the play. Brin Kursar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gojmir Džekić in the 26th minute of the match. Esad Mrvar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ugo Krejči tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tian Antonijević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tian Antonijević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Copak's late challenge caught a Celje's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Copak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Nazarje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Copak to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ugo Krejči didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celje. In the 68th minute, Nikolaj Kekez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Gojmir Džekić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brin Kursar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Gojmir Džekić managed to get in a good position for a shot. But to his dismay, Tian Antonijević quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Erli Dežman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ugo Krejči showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esad Mrvar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Celje had played much better football throughout.
