An unexpectedly hard shot by Tian Antonijević in the 2nd minute of play forced Nazarje ND's goalkeeper Mate Lampensberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brin Kursar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demeter Oplotnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Demeter Oplotnik came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Nazarje ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demeter Oplotnik couldn't finish the play. If Kras Hribar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Demeter Oplotnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the game, Demeter Oplotnik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Brin Kursar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Nazarje ND's Kras Hribar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brin Kursar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 35th minute Demeter Oplotnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brin Kursar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demeter Oplotnik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brin Kursar having to make a save. 42 minutes into the match, Nazarje ND's goalkeeper Mate Lampensberger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esad Mrvar. Tian Antonijević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tian Antonijević made the kick off in the second half. Demeter Oplotnik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brin Kursar came out and tried to block the shot, but Demeter Oplotnik slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Demeter Oplotnik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nazarje ND's supporters rose to their feet, but Demeter Oplotnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brin Kursar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kras Hribar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Nazarje ND's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Demeter Oplotnik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Brin Kursar made a huge save. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tian Antonijević who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nazarje ND's Mate Lampensberger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maik Birsa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Kras Hribar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Demeter Oplotnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Brin Kursar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71stth minute of the game Demeter Oplotnik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celje's Brin Kursar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Nazarje ND getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Semiko Milenković hit a great ball. Tian Antonijević struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Mate Lampensberger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celje. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nazarje ND fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Enes Padovnik shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Thanks to some nice moves Kras Hribar could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Brin Kursar however easily saved by the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nazarje ND walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
