The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Kevin Prosenjak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vodice ND's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Prosenjak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Vodice ND getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Benjamin Kalamar hit a great ball. New Greenhorns's Edi Hrastar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bert Hrastar but with some difficulty. Vodice ND's Bert Hrastar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Vodice ND from getting a goal against them. Kevin Prosenjak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gorazd Porčić having to interfere. Gorazd Porčić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Prosenjak in the 17th minute of the match. Gorazd Porčić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Prosenjak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Kevin Prosenjak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gorazd Porčić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valmi Klančar's late challenge caught a Vodice ND's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valmi Klančar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Valmi Klančar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, New Greenhorns's goal looked a bit too open when Radovan Derča came free, but Gorazd Porčić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vodice ND getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Romeo Luskar hit a great ball. Bert Hrastar was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Artur Kenda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artur Kenda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. New Greenhorns's Gorazd Porčić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Prosenjak in the 34th minute of play. Gorazd Porčić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Prosenjak in the 35th minute of the match. New Greenhorns's Gorazd Porčić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Prosenjak in the 37th minute of play. Gorazd Porčić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radovan Derča in the 38th minute of the match. Deny Ciperle hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, New Greenhorns's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Prosenjak came free, but Gorazd Porčić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in New Greenhorns's zone, Kevin Prosenjak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gorazd Porčić came out of the goal and Kevin Prosenjak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Kenda to strike the kick off in the second half. Kevin Prosenjak scored 1-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gorazd Porčić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vodice ND's goalkeeper Bert Hrastar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of New Greenhorns booed when Vodice ND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Luskar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radovan Derča hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in New Greenhorns's zone, Kevin Prosenjak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gorazd Porčić came out of the goal and Kevin Prosenjak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radovan Derča sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kevin Prosenjak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Prosenjak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gorazd Porčić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radovan Derča struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Gorazd Porčić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vodice ND. Miloš Malenšek's late challenge caught a Vodice ND's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miloš Malenšek helped the player get up and apologised. When Radovan Derča came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Vodice ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radovan Derča couldn't finish the play. Vodice ND's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
