Spectators: 7992 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stamenko Rigač took the kick off in the first half of the match. Draš Kočar kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amin Nedižavec got free with Hajdin Pernek in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hajdin Pernek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rade Zmrzlak in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Slovenj Gradec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amin Nedižavec to maneuver through the defense. Hajdin Pernek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rade Zmrzlak in the 23rd minute of the match. Stamenko Rigač took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zekirja Kunstelj. Zekirja Kunstelj dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hakuna Matata's Hajdin Pernek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rade Zmrzlak in the 31st minute of play. Hajdin Pernek had great luck who in the 36thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rade Zmrzlak from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Slovenj Gradec's Zekirja Kunstelj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lovro Vatovec in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamenko Rigač in the 45th minute of play forced Slovenj Gradec's goalkeeper Zekirja Kunstelj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zekirja Kunstelj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lovro Vatovec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Hakuna Matata were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rade Zmrzlak to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Theodor Trobina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hajdin Pernek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theodor Trobina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Theodor Trobina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Theodor Trobina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hakuna Matata's Jaša Ćurčija shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zekirja Kunstelj but with some difficulty. Kasim Jakšić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hakuna Matata's goalkeeper Hajdin Pernek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hajdin Pernek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rade Zmrzlak, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. A collision led to Hakuna Matata getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Predrag Krenn hit a great ball. If Theodor Trobina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
