Bane Sabol started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Mohor Wednesday Forest got a freekick which was hit by Bela Jugović. Mohor Wednesday Forest's Stano Hafner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dražen Bavdek in the 6th minute of play. Dražen Bavdek struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Stano Hafner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Orehek. 13 minutes into the match, Bane Sabol notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mohor Wednesday Forest's Stano Hafner. Stano Hafner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Mohor Wednesday Forest getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Semiko Klander hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mohor Wednesday Forest's zone, Bane Sabol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stano Hafner came out of the goal and Bane Sabol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 minutes, Semiko Klander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mohor Wednesday Forest and the FC Orehek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Semiko Klander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Bane Sabol managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Orehek's supporters rose to their feet, but Bane Sabol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stano Hafner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Dražen Bavdek notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Mohor Wednesday Forest's Stano Hafner. Stano Hafner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dražen Bavdek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Bane Sabol got free in front of the goal in the 58th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Stano Hafner was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Bane Sabol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bane Sabol came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the FC Orehek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bane Sabol couldn't finish the play. Kemal Dovnik struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Stano Hafner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Orehek. Dražen Bavdek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stano Hafner having to interfere. FC Orehek's Dražen Bavdek got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tjan Brinovšek hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Tjan Brinovšek scored 1-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alija Trivković, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alija Trivković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tjan Brinovšek, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. FC Orehek's Ludvik Dolžan was substituted for Apolonije Toš.
