Roggers Ivanuša took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klodian Bažec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregor Ferjan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viktor Babič in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmedalija Podobnik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roggers Ivanuša showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oktavij Strnad in the 27th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Draš Berce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Šempeter pri Gorici FC and the Skofja Loka MNK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Šempeter pri Gorici FC's Draš Berce got a free kick in the 30th minute. Velko Ločniškar, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Klodian Bažec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nevij Backović hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Svetislav Tanšek almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Skofja Loka MNK's Roggers Ivanuša did a great save. Mihajlo Devetak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmedalija Podobnik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play.

The wind increased when Oktavij Strnad made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klodian Bažec got free with Roggers Ivanuša in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Draš Berce was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. The supporters of Skofja Loka MNK booed when Šempeter pri Gorici FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Draš Berce didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Babič in the 56th minute of play forced Šempeter pri Gorici FC's goalkeeper Mehmedalija Podobnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Šempeter pri Gorici FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Babič came free, but Mehmedalija Podobnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Viktor Babič managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skofja Loka MNK's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Babič was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmedalija Podobnik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roggers Ivanuša made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klodian Bažec in the 66th minute. Leon Svet kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gregor Ferjan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mehmedalija Podobnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oktavij Strnad charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oktavij Strnad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 78 minutes into the game, Skofja Loka MNK's Gregor Ferjan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmedalija Podobnik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Mehmedalija Podobnik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregor Ferjan went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Viktor Babič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mehmedalija Podobnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Skofja Loka MNK's Gregor Ferjan in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
