Spectators: 7965 (Terracing: 5975, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 158) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Čedomir Špindler kicked off to start the match. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Vitodrag Hižak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Čedomir Špindler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roko Abazovski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roko Abazovski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Elio Bizjak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitodrag Hižak struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Emanuel Mešanović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bad Blue Boys. 15 minutes into the game, Ernest Tajnšek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuel Mešanović. Ernest Tajnšek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 24th minute, one of Bad Blue Boys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bad Blue Boys. Elio Bizjak went to the wrong direction when Andrej Matjaž was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With his leg Emanuel Mešanović managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Bad Blue Boys's Vitodrag Hižak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the match, Ernest Tajnšek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emanuel Mešanović, 2-0. If Ernest Tajnšek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Tajnšek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Mešanović having to interfere. Vitodrag Hižak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Mešanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Tajnšek, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Čedomir Špindler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fighters and Defenders's supporters rose to their feet, but Čedomir Špindler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elio Bizjak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roko Abazovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Čedomir Špindler came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Fighters and Defenders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Čedomir Špindler couldn't finish the play. After 53 minutes, Egidij Kapun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bad Blue Boys and the Fighters and Defenders players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Bad Blue Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egidij Kapun to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Bad Blue Boys defense, Roko Abazovski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elio Bizjak. The Bad Blue Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elio Bizjak should have stopped the shot. Čedomir Špindler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elio Bizjak having to interfere. Ernest Tajnšek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Emanuel Mešanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Čedomir Špindler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roko Abazovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elio Bizjak having to interfere. A collision led to Fighters and Defenders getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Andrej Matjaž hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Štefan Trošt in the 88th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Emanuel Mešanović's left hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Fighters and Defenders's zone, Vitodrag Hižak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Mešanović came out of the goal and Vitodrag Hižak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Bad Blue Boys's Elio Bizjak got control of the ball when Roko Abazovski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bad Blue Boys's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
