Stanko Žak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avgust Krmelj in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Cerkno MNK's Omar Požeg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanko Žak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Tihomir Gornik recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lorenzo Krempl. Tihomir Gornik showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Omar Požeg took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stanko Žak. Stanko Žak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Stanko Žak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avgust Krmelj in the 19th minute of the match. Tihomir Gornik hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Krsta Hvala ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanko Žak was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Stanko Žak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avgust Krmelj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the sveti vrh defense, Omar Požeg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanko Žak. The sveti vrh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanko Žak should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, sveti vrh's goal looked a bit too open when Saško Udrih came free, but Stanko Žak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saško Udrih in the 43rd minute of play forced sveti vrh's goalkeeper Stanko Žak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Krempl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omer Avsenik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

Cerkno MNK's Saško Udrih got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Omar Požeg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanko Žak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tihomir Gornik hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Krsta Hvala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanko Žak having to interfere. sveti vrh's Stanko Žak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save sveti vrh from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, sveti vrh's Stanko Žak got control of the ball when Krsta Hvala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Avgust Krmeljs short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Stanko Žak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The sveti vrh fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cerkno MNK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
