Emanuel Kunovar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Daš Megla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Filippo Bernardi came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippo Bernardi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Kunovar in the 18th minute of play forced Lipica's goalkeeper Daš Megla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lipica booed when FC Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikele Senčar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daš Megla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikele Senčar in the 42nd minute. Branivoj Kepic hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. FC Chelsea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lipica the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Žarko Nemanič kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Drejc Černe. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. A collision led to FC Chelsea getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mikele Senčar hit a great ball. After 70 played minutes, FC Chelsea's Vladimir Hudin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daš Megla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Chelsea reached it. After having played for 72 minutes, Filippo Bernardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chelsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Bernardi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Kunovar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-1 became the score in the 76th minute when Filippo Bernardi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Lipica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergej Vrtačič to maneuver through the defense. Filippo Bernardi succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Filippo Bernardi sped through Lipica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daš Megla. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filippo Bernardi in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daš Megla saved Lipica from getting behind. After some careless play in the Lipica defense, Filippo Bernardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daš Megla. The Lipica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daš Megla should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lipica's zone, Filippo Bernardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daš Megla came out of the goal and Filippo Bernardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97th play minutes Filippo Bernardi shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Daš Megla and just under the crossbar into goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Chelsea had played much better football throughout.
