Vilim Lamovšek started the match with the kick off. Attila Podbregar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brecht Tombeurs, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilim Lamovšek in the 12th minute of play forced Šempeter GF's goalkeeper Almin Knific to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilim Lamovšek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almin Knific having to make a save. If Vilim Lamovšek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almin Knific showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilim Lamovšek, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, NK Dinamo Zagreb's Vilim Lamovšek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almin Knific made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Almin Knific showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilim Lamovšek in the 27th minute of the match. Ecij Fajon hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Vilim Lamovšek notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Šempeter GF's Almin Knific. Almin Knific was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aljaž Končan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Almin Knific tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes NK Dinamo Zagreb got a freekick which was hit by Lučano Kamenšek. Arnel Stonič succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 40th playminute. After a rather tough play, NK Dinamo Zagreb's Veno Jeromel got a free kick in the 45th minute. The Šempeter GF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. NK Dinamo Zagreb were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brecht Tombeurs to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Šempeter GF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Perpar to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brecht Tombeurs in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Attila Podbregar saved NK Dinamo Zagreb from getting behind. Šempeter GF's Almin Knific proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Šempeter GF from getting a goal against them. Vilim Lamovšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Šempeter GF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ecij Fajon to maneuver through the defense. Vilim Lamovšek scored 1-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almin Knific, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brecht Tombeurs in the 77th minute of play forced NK Dinamo Zagreb's goalkeeper Attila Podbregar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecij Fajon kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brecht Tombeurs in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attila Podbregar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 86 minutes, Veno Jeromel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK Dinamo Zagreb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veno Jeromel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnel Stonič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Attila Podbregar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brecht Tombeurs kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. NK Dinamo Zagreb's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
