Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Lennart Dalkvist started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Sefastsson in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malte Ahlström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 4th match minute, Åsa FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Aleberg to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Sefastsson came free, but Malte Ahlström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lennart Dalkvist in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malte Ahlström saved Lions FC from getting behind. Konrad Bergstedt hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Lions FC defense, Andy Sefastsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Malte Ahlström. The Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Malte Ahlström should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Andy Sefastsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lions FC's Malte Ahlström. Malte Ahlström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andy Sefastsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Dalkvist in the 34th minute of play forced Lions FC's goalkeeper Malte Ahlström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Lennart Dalkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Malte Ahlström was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Lennart Dalkvist put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Malte Ahlström. Andy Sefastsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Lennart Dalkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åsa FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 55 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goalkeeper Malte Ahlström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Sefastsson. In the 57th minute, August Melin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Ålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Olsman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Åsa FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulrik Västberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Åsa FF defense, Kåre Olsman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Ålberg. The Åsa FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Ålberg should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Sven-Erik Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Ålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åsa FF's Lennart Dalkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malte Ahlström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Dalkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Åsa FF's Lennart Dalkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Malte Ahlström. Malte Ahlström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Tony Ålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Erik Lagerberg in the 77th minute of play. Tony Ålberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Erik Lagerberg in the 83rd minute of the match. If Andy Sefastsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lennart Dalkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andy Sefastsson got free with Malte Ahlström in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
