The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gösta Forsell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Filip Lindell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bengt-Arne Johansson. The goal made the score 1-0. Durval Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Magne Sander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Lindell's late challenge caught a Queens PR United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Lindell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Seraphim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Lindell to maneuver through the defense. Queens PR United's Bengt-Arne Johansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Queens PR United from getting a goal against them. Magne Sander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Forsell in the 41st minute of play. Queens PR United's Bengt-Arne Johansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Lundin in the 42nd minute of play. The long shot by Dan Lundgren in the 44th minute really tested Bengt-Arne Johansson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gösta Forsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gösta Forsell to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Arne Johansson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bengt-Arne Johansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludvig Emander in the 94th minute of the match. Queens PR United's Bengt-Arne Johansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludvig Emander in the 97th minute of play.
