The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Åke Sandström got free with Joachim Myr in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 minutes of play, Grycksbo IF's Jens-Åke Sandström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joachim Myr was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jens-Åke Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Myr having to interfere. Cartmans Soldater's Joachim Myr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Grubb in the 14th minute of play. If Jens-Åke Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, André Nordstedt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per-Arne Örtendahl. Grycksbo IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Nordstedt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Leif Olsmann hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Jens-Åke Sandström came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Grycksbo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Åke Sandström couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute André Nordstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Arne Örtendahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Joachim Myr successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Grycksbo IF's Jens-Åke Sandström got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Cartmans Soldater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Nordstedt to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Grubb in the 38th minute of play forced Cartmans Soldater's goalkeeper Joachim Myr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cartmans Soldater's Gösta Lindström got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, André Nordstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cartmans Soldater's supporters rose to their feet, but André Nordstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Arne Örtendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gösta Lindström charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gösta Lindström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cartmans Soldater's Gösta Lindström got a free kick in the 48th minute. Grycksbo IF's Bror Tinglöv shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 49th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joachim Myr but with some difficulty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erik Grubb to strike the kick off in the second half. If Gösta Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Myr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Sandström in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Grycksbo IF's goalkeeper Per-Arne Örtendahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gösta Lindström. Grycksbo IF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cartmans Soldater had controlled the match.
