Torgny Wiklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A.I.K.'s Karl-Åke Lägdin got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernt Lindgren in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torgny Wiklund saved Matteus ff from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Baltasar Iratxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When A.I.K.'s Bernt Lindgren in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matteus ff's goalie prevented a goal. Torgny Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Abrahamsson in the 16th minute of the match. Torgny Wiklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernt Lindgren's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Matteus ff's goalkeeper Torgny Wiklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt Lindgren. When Tage Eklund fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matteus ff's protests and gave Tage Eklund a yellow card for diving instead. Tage Eklund kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Edvard Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Bernt Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Wiklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baltasar Iratxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torgny Wiklund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karl-Åke Lägdin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 44 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernt Lindgren to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Bernt Lindgren notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Matteus ff's Torgny Wiklund. Torgny Wiklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Matteus ff defense, Bernt Lindgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torgny Wiklund. The Matteus ff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torgny Wiklund should have stopped the shot. Bernt Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute of the match, Tage Eklund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manos Kalikis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baltasar Iratxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Kalikis having to interfere. Bernt Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Torgny Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otto Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernt Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Torgny Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matteus ff's Torgny Wiklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Lindgren in the 77th minute of play. If Karl-Åke Lägdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Matteus ff's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Lindgren came free, but Torgny Wiklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Olofsson made a great header on A.I.K.'s corner, it was just that Matteus ff's Torgny Wiklund managed to reach the ball for a save. Matteus ff's Torgny Wiklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Lindgren in the 84th minute of play. Torgny Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Lindgren in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Hedlund in the 89th minute of play forced Matteus ff's goalkeeper Torgny Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Lindgren struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Torgny Wiklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.I.K.. If Herbert Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Bernt Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Wiklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the A.I.K. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
