Nordkoster FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Östen Beckman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tor Winström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Östen Beckman in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Andersson in the 15th minute of play forced IF Sylvia's goalkeeper Tor Winström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Olov Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Lund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nordkoster FC's Kent Larsfelt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Josef Smed in the 18 minute of the game. After 24 minutes, Alessandro Hierro made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. IF Sylvia's Tor Winström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Ralf Zachrisson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herbert Lund. Nordkoster FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralf Zachrisson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Tor Winström made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Östen Beckman sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Andy Lundberg took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Tor Winström to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivar Andersson in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor Winström saved IF Sylvia from getting behind. Tor Winström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Hierro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Östen Beckman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Tor Winström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Nordkoster FC booed when IF Sylvia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Smed didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nordkoster FC's Östen Beckman got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Hierro to strike the kick off in the second half. Tor Winström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Beckman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andy Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. IF Sylvia's Tor Winström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Beckman in the 58th minute of play. IF Sylvia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nordkoster FC the free kick. Östen Beckman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
