A very good chance. When Jonas Emander came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Skånska Frihetskämparna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Emander couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Skånska Frihetskämparna's goalkeeper Viktor Låsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Stenqvist. After a defensive mix-up in Skånska Frihetskämparna's zone, Sven Stenqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Låsberg came out of the goal and Sven Stenqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jakob Valrot came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the FC Mattsson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Valrot couldn't finish the play. Sven Stenqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Viktor Låsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Skånska Frihetskämparna got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Lindholm. Viktor Låsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven Stenqvist's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, FC Mattsson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. Sven Stenqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Viktor Låsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Ermegildo Etxatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Sven Stenqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Mattsson's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Stenqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Låsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evert Siöberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niklas Fransson in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skånska Frihetskämparna's goalkeeper Viktor Låsberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, FC Mattsson's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Stephansson came free, but Evert Siöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viktor Låsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the FC Mattsson players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
