After 18 minutes, Ryan Watkinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RÖ BK and the Night Hawks players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RÖ BK's Ryan Watkinson got a free kick in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Night Hawks's zone, Martin Möllgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Berglund came out of the goal and Martin Möllgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute Jorge Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valter Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Möller in the 29th minute of play. Wictor Kullander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olle Mellbad in the 32nd minute. Folke Vallengren hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Olle Mellbad made a precise shot to the right of Wictor Kullander. RÖ BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 42nd match minute, RÖ BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Olof Hammarström to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, RÖ BK's goalkeeper Wictor Kullander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Nordlander. The wind increased when Olle Mellbad made the kick off in the second half. Folke Vallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wictor Kullander came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Night Hawks's Jan Hjelm. But to his dismay, Jan Hjelm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Olle Mellbad struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Wictor Kullander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Night Hawks. Johnny Alebom took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wictor Kullander. Wictor Kullander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Wictor Kullander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Alebom, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
