Gláuber Leite scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Vallgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Edsele's Svante Hägg in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico de Linköping's goalie prevented a goal. Edsele's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gláuber Leite 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Lars Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Torstensson in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Edsele's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victor Bartuelo was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico de Linköping's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Atletico de Linköping's corner Erling Svanberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lars Vallgren quite easily take care of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Atletico de Linköping's Gláuber Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Vallgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Edsele booed when Atletico de Linköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Björnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gláuber Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Vallgren having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Åke Snell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Svante Hägg made a kick off. After some careless play in the Edsele defense, Victor Bartuelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Vallgren. The Edsele fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Vallgren should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gláuber Leite in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Vallgren saved Edsele from getting behind. Åke Snell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars Vallgren having to make a save. Gláuber Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute of the match Andy Frisck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walter Hedkvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, Gláuber Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Torstensson charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Torstensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Linköping's Hans Torstensson got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Svante Hägg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Torstensson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Walter Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Hägg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edsele's Lars Vallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Leite in the 88th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Edsele got a freekick which was hit by Simon Sundberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Bartuelo in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Vallgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gláuber Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Bartuelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Vallgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Bartuelo ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atletico de Linköping fully deserved thier win.
