The audience thought a goal was coming when Rutger Tingberg got free with Håkan Ek in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Claes Lindgren fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gloria Victis's protests and gave Claes Lindgren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gloria Victis getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Claes Lindgren hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emil Hernström was the one to do the kick off. Anton Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Sävsjö's Emil Hernström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The supporters of Sävsjö booed when Gloria Victis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Tidén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Sven Vennerkvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gloria Victis's Richard Blixt didn't even have to move. Sävsjö's Håkan Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Forsberg in the 87th minute of play. Anton Lundgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Blixt having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Emil Tidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sävsjö were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Gloria Victis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven Vennerkvist took the corner. The corner led Sävsjö's Sven Vennerkvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Richard Blixt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sävsjö's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
