Överlida IFK's Henrik Sandell got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elias Ekeberg made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Henrik Sandell sent off a good shot on target. Purka FC's Elias Ekeberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Purka FC from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Purka FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Malte Granberg shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Överlida IFK booed when Purka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Haglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Ekeberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrik Sandell's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Purka FC defense, Malte Granberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Ekeberg. The Purka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Ekeberg should have stopped the shot. Elias Ekeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Henrik Sandell put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Elias Ekeberg. Holger Jonasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mikael Skark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Överlida IFK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Purka FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
