Frank Odman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Överlida IFK. In the 6th minute Valentin Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Skark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikael Skark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Blomqvist in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Bengt-Arne Blom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Älmhult FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19th minute, Hannes Dalberg made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Skark. Överlida IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Frank Odman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Sandell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Valentin Blomqvist fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Älmhult FF's protests and gave Valentin Blomqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Älmhult FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Överlida IFK's Frank Odman threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrik Sandell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Överlida IFK's Mikael Skark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Asklöv in the 27th minute of play. Älmhult FF's Frank Odman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Älmhult FF from getting a goal against them. Bengt-Arne Blom hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Överlida IFK's Malte Granberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frank Odman but with some difficulty. In the 34th match minute, Älmhult FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Arne Blom to maneuver through the defense. Frank Odman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Älmhult FF's Emil Asklöv nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikael Skark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After the first half Älmhult FF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrik Sandell in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Odman saved Älmhult FF from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Karl-Erik Åström notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Älmhult FF's Frank Odman. Frank Odman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th match minute, Älmhult FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Tunander to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Överlida IFK booed when Älmhult FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Arne Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrik Sandell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emil Asklöv kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Frank Odman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The supporters of Överlida IFK booed when Älmhult FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agne Arenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Valentin Blomqvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Mikael Skark to make any attempt to save it. The Överlida IFK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Älmhult FF's performance. The match ended with a win for Älmhult FF.
