In the 21st minute Ingvar Hellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Bjursell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Överman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Boris Hedman. IF Vasaparken's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Per-Oskar Ekenberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boris Hedman, 1-0. In the 30th minute, Ingvar Hellkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mathias Odman charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathias Odman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Mathias Odman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rune Bjursell was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Christopher Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Bjursell having to make a save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Flyinge BK booed when IF Vasaparken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Odman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Rolf Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Per-Oskar Ekenberg came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Flyinge BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Oskar Ekenberg couldn't finish the play.
