Björn Nordlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Blomkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When %teams%'s Sven-Oskar Asplund was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 26 minutes into the game. Kalle Hedlund was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Tage Grönlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lugnvik's Kalle Hedlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Lugnvik from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Claes Lindqvist put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kalle Hedlund. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

If Sven-Oskar Asplund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Lugnvik's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Lindqvist came free, but Kalle Hedlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vårby IK's zone, Tage Grönlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Nordlund came out of the goal and Tage Grönlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
