Jens-Ola Vallman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Anton Eckegren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jens-Ola Vallman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Ingemarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Östra Karup defense, Jim Ingemarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Ola Vallman. The Östra Karup fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Ola Vallman should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Lessebo IFK's Olle Danielsson got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lessebo IFK's zone, Sigvard Smefeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staffan Petersson came out of the goal and Sigvard Smefeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Gustaf Aspengren struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Staffan Petersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Östra Karup. The supporters of Lessebo IFK booed when Östra Karup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Oskar Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Vilhelm Kellberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilhelm Kellberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jens-Ola Vallman. That made the score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Jens-Ola Vallman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Kellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Smefeldt in the 81st minute of play forced Lessebo IFK's goalkeeper Staffan Petersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Hjälm hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Gustaf Aspengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim Ingemarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Vallman having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lessebo IFK's goalkeeper Staffan Petersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hubert Arhenius's late challenge caught a Lessebo IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hubert Arhenius helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Östra Karup got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Arhenius. After a defensive mix-up in Östra Karup's zone, Vilhelm Kellberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
